SCC has always had a special place in Jibrii’s heart. Although, not a possession in the traditional sense, his most prized possession is his peeps. Jibrii’s been through some tough times and recognizes he wouldn’t have been successful without the love and support of my close friends and family. They allowed God to use them to get him though and have remained by his side. For him, being a true part of community means giving it all back in service.  His commitment to his peeps goes beyond just saying that “I'll be there” — it’s important to him that actions that precede his words.

Of all the places to go in Baltimore, his favorite place is his home in Patterson Park. Home has always been his place of refuge, an escape from some of the harsh realities and challenges of life. While some may follow him into the house, he’s blessed to go home to his loving wife, Tishina and four-legged partner, Thimba, who bring comfort and peace.
