For the past ten years, Sowebo Community Church has been dedicated to supporting and engaging with SW Baltimore neighborhoods through various means, including our long-standing tradition of holding services at local schools. This commitment to local institutions not only aligns with our values but strengthens our ties with the community.
Currently, we hold our services at Southwest Charter School in the Pigtown neighborhood. This central location allows us greater opportunities to connect with the community and demonstrates our ongoing dedication to supporting local institutions.
Our church is a developing and growing community with approximately 50 adults with a median age of 35. We also have over 30+ children. Our diversity uniquely positions us to support the young families in Pigtown and beyond. We believe that God has specifically placed us in this area to bless and uplift the families and individuals who call this community home.

For those in their twenties, our church offers an excellent opportunity to use your gifts and talents in a diverse urban setting. It’s a place where young adults can actively contribute and grow in their faith while being a blessing to others.
For individuals and couples in their 50s , 60s, and older, our church provides a welcoming environment to mentor and disciple younger members. Your experience and wisdom are invaluable to us, and we encourage you to come alongside upcoming generations to guide and support them on their journey.
